Alppiruusupuisto (Rhododendron Park) is a 8 hectare forest park in Helsinki. Among the pine trees, the park is full of rhododendrons and azaleas.
Built in 1916 to protect Helsinki from a possible attack from the sea, the Skatanniemi fortifications are an interesting part of Finland’s history.
Some people are fishing, some are having picnic, some are just relaxing and enjoying the scenery. The summer evening at the Vanhankapunginkoski seems almost epic.
