Visit Lake Päijänne
Päijänne is the second largest lake in Finland. And with the depth of 95 metres, it is also the deepest.
120 km long lake used to be an important transportation channel in the Central Finland. The ships transported passengers and freight between the villages. Nowadays, most of the passengers are tourist enjoying lake scenery. Lake Päijänne is also popular choice when people want to go fishing, boating or sailing. In the winter the lake is usually covered by ice.
